SO, WHO AM I?
My name is Latarra Davis, and I’m a multi-faceted creative entrepreneur who’s on a mission to advocate for women of color in business and the beauty industry all day, everyday! Your girl is always finding her hands in different entrepreneurial and creative pursuits, with the latest venture being the Founder and CEO of NuMannequin Co. As a creator and advocate, I’m so excited to have a digital space where my work, muses, and advocacy can reside. So welcome, welcome, and welcome again! INTRODUCING MY BRAND
Birthed out of my desire to shake up the beauty industry with diverse representation, NuMannequin Co is an inclusive mannequin head brand created to represent and shine a spotlight on the melanated girls. As a Black woman myself, I know all too well that it’s rare to find mannequins in local beauty stores or mainstream retailers that reflect our beauty. That’s why I created NuMannequin Co as a response to this problem and an attempt to set a new standard in the industry — one where darker skin tones aren’t the afterthought, but the whole conversation.
So enter our one-of-a-kind mannequin heads that come in a wide array of darker skin tones, designed to mirror the diversity and slayage that is Black women! With our mannequin heads, you can finally feel seen, represented, and empowered to showcase your unique beauty. I am passionate about being my true authentic self in business, embracing my ‘quirks’ and the unique interests and qualities that make me - me. I share my passions unashemedly and share my experiences authentically, with the hope that it inspires others to embrace their passion and creativity or educates for those who want to pursue their dreams of building a brand.

Through my personal brand and NMCO, I aim to tackle issues with diversity and inclusion, using my platform to inspire change and create a new movement of true representation. As someone who has been through many experiences, of which I have personally felt under-represented or discluded, my mission is to do everything in my power to help others feel seen and embrace their potential.

One thing that is very important to me is using my voice and platform to inspire and educate others. I want to empower other women and in particular, other women of colour, to feel seen in the world of business and show that it is possible to follow your dreams. Through honest education and transparency, I want to share my knowledge and expertise to lift up others and build community.
